Sea Blessing - Balinese Melukat

A Sea Blessing, in Indonesia called a Melukat, is a ritual often done by the Balinese to cleanse mind, body and spirit of negative influences. A Melukat gets done to purify, and to invite in blessings. There are many different temples in Bali that offer opportunities to participate in a Melukat, both in water fountains as well as in the sea. It is considered to lead to many good things.

In Dubai, we visit a beach where the water, according to Spirit, has powerful energy for cleansing. The Sea Blessing consists of an offering, prayers, meditations and bathing in the sea. It is a truly unforgettable experience that will make you feel reborn!
